Uche Linda Okpala with her students participated in a Global projects - Innovate your dream (IYD)

 


PROJECT SUMMARY: 



The Innovate your dreams  project aims to help students understand and prepare for the jobs in the future. 

The project is based on a popular research which concluded that “65% of children entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job types that don't yet exist.” During the project 12-16 year-old students will also learn about industries that will be created in the future and the role of technology in transforming the world. 


The (IYD) project will teach 3 out of the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) described in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. They are:

1.  Quality Education

2.  Affordable & clean energy

3.  Industry, innovation &  infrastructure. 

The (IYD) project will promotes STREAM vision and STEM-based experiences which will last  for 7 weeks. 

Every week, you are to receive weekly tasks to complete.

  OBJECTIVE(S):

The main objective of this STE(A)M project is to teach and prepare today’s students for the careers    they may have when they finish college and university.

The project also aims at helping teachers understand STEM education through Project based learning and at teaching them how to build skills which students need to succeed in the future.

This project will also teach 3 out of the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) described in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
